Two decades of warmth, craft & authentic flavour
On 1 May 2001, we opened Furusato near Sarit Centre โ a name chosen for its meaning: "hometown." Our dream was to create dishes that would transport our guests to a place of comfort and nostalgia, like their hometown.
From the start, Furusato was a place of firsts. Our kitchen was led by Nairobi's first female sushi chef โ a testament to our daring spirit. For decades, her journey, rich with experience, has inspired our recipes, each one a living story. These culinary traditions continue to evolve, shaped by customer feedback.
